Campden Wealth and Royal Bank of Canada jointly publish research on the values, priorities, and practices of the next generation (Next Gen) of ultra-high net worth (UHNW) families.
This report examines the values, priorities, and practices of the next generation of UHNW families in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. It covers topics pertaining to family dynamics, succession planning, wealth, health and well-being. The result is a plethora of rich findings which explain how this unique cohort is responding to the rapidly evolving world around them through the use of a unique set of values and practices which embrace both personal and financial success and a drive for social and environmental betterment.
The study also examines Next Gens’ responses to COVID-19 in the midst of the pandemic and the average ages for key milestones in Next Gens’ lives, such as when they first learn about their wealth, take on a role in the family business, take on wealth management responsibilities and ultimately take over the family empire.
